When you spend time in preparation, you expect production. When you spend energy in development, you expect results. When put effort energy in practice, you expect progress. When you labor in the field, you expect produce. Nobody in their right mind hopes that the time invested in a project will end up a failure. And to be sure, not all project end in positive results. But, the expectation should be fruit for you labor.
For example: when you carried those kids, fed those kids, clothed those kid, cared for those kids when they were sick, raised those kids, you expect those kids to bear fruit and reflect your investment in their own life. When you work hard for that job, when you do your job well, when you show up on time and stay late for that job, you expect to be that job to bear fruit compensate you for that job well done. Well church we have been laboring, God has been working on us the word and its time for us to bear fruit and produce what God has invested in us. It’s time to produce.

1. The Sower

· Purpose
· Persistence
· Produce

2. The Seed

· The Word of God
· Won’t Spoil

3. The Soil

Those attacked by Satan

The harden path represents a hardened heart. Thought scripture there are examples of people who refuse to hear from the Lord, and its never that they can’t. Its always that that wont. The rejection of God’s word is an intentional act of disobedience. (elaborate) And when your heart is hard you are then further susceptible to spiritual attacks by the enemy.

Those who are Shallow

The next soil is that shallow soil. It has a similar property of a hard heart, but it has a outer layer of soil as to appear as good soil but you can’t dig very far into it. What happens is the word goes forth and it takes root and produces quick and visible results. This person is the one who receives the word with joy! They loved the sermon, the lesson, the revelation, the godly advice, the personal devotion, the reading. They are ready to conquer the world for Jesus and turn their life around. But as soon as they get picked on. The soil is shallow so the seed seeks nutrients from the surface instead of what is on the inside. The roots aren't deep enough to sustain the heat come up they stumble.

Those who Suffocate

The next type of unproductive heart is the one who actually has everything going for the spiritually, but they have not yet removed the thorns! The thorns choke the plant. In other words the thorns and the grain struggle for space and nutrition so that the grain grows but it doesn’t produce a harvest. They are present, but lack produce.
They are in attendance, but lack accountability. There are in Church, but wont contribution. They are here, but they are also in the world. They are interested, but not invested. They are at church to worship, but wont be at church to work. The are God’s people, but their priorities are mixed up.
The issue with this group is they are concerned with the attachments that come with the world. The are concerned with money. And preoccupied with other things.

Those who are Good Soil and Succeed

Finally! There is the good soil. Anybody want to be good soil. The good soil isn’t good because it behaves better than the other soils, because at the end of the day were all dirt. But the good soil is good because of it is readily available to receive the word.
